Vacancy Reporting
Report a Ghost
See a building that looks vacant? Tell us about it.
We do not enter buildings. We do not knock on doors. We research legally and reach out by mail.
⚠️ Important Rules
- ✅ Report from the public sidewalk — always
- ✅ Take photos from public property — always
- ❌ Do not enter the building — ever (without explicit owner invitation)
- ❌ Do not knock on doors — we contact owners by mail
- ❌ Do not photograph people inside or near the building
- ❌ Do not publish addresses of private residences without clear vacancy evidence
GHOSTO's founder once knocked on a door at an unusual hour in a creative spirit. The police were called. This page is his redemption arc.
What happens next?
- 1. Our Ghost Hunter team reviews your report (we verify it was from public property)
- 2. We research the owner via public records (county assessor, GIS data)
- 3. We draft a friendly letter to the owner (GHOSTO Ghostwriter AI does this)
- 4. We send the letter by certified mail, explaining GHOSTO and what the owner might gain
- 5. If the owner responds positively, we help them list the space
- 6. The building gets a GHOSTO listing. The ghost is resurrected.
This process takes 4–8 weeks. We do not spam owners. We do not call repeatedly. One friendly letter. One chance to say yes.
